well school has started again and i will probably post more outfits because i also am taking a photography class so i have a nice camera + tripod ! a lot has happened heres a lil photo journal and some of my photography :*

It was AMAZING I was in a trance of beautiful rap rave and insane mind melting visuals. We were front row for a lot of it here is what I mainly remember:
1. I still can't believe Yo-landi is real like omg
2. I saw two people from my school which was actually pretty cool to know there are fellow weirdos there
3. Ninja wore his boxers and did the zef side dance like two feet away from me
4. I saw both of their asses
5. Sixteen Jones came out at the end and Ninja back flipped into the crowd right next to us and we touched him.
I also got a tee- they were out of NINJE!
I also have been doing a lot of ~dreamy colorful~photography-another post will come w my photos some are on my tumblr though!

a pretty boring outfit with a neato striped shirt i got for 2 dollars and some mens shoes for $9, they are only slightly too big for me... I got them with a certain DIY in mind
I plan on painting toes on them CDG style vvv soon, so they will get cuter (? are toes rlly cute tho ???)
so yeah, a DIY IS SOON TO COME!
hopefully they will turn out as rad as these
Anyways, my posting may be kinda mellow, I am currently at my grandmas just chilling, so no DIYS til I get home (most likely)
At SAIC we got passes into all the art museums for free!!! It was a dream c: I saw the GIANT René Magritte show and it was fantastical, no photos were allowed, and I didn't have my camera anyways. I did buy a big book of postcards and another book of surrealist party games! Then we went as a class to see some Frida Kahlo and her contemporaries at the MCA. Frida is a massive inspiration to me, and they had some other really amazing works about gender in society. I have seen Frida's work in person before, and its level of detail always amazes me.
I don't know why but I didn't take photos of that exhibit, but I took some of Isa Genzken's art. It is found art- and I am not too sure if I am on board with it really, but i must say she has an eye for color for sure. Also, I took some selfies c:
I went to SAIC's ECP in Chicago for fashion illustration!!!! That's where I have been for pretty much the past month- I am sad my outfits didn't really get photographed directly, I was really busy with a lot of homework! I am going to do a little photo journal thing of it in this post. I do actually have a lot of photos of me and my friends though.

Me and all the fashion kids and our amazing teachers Annie and Chiara! I love you all and this has been one of the best experiences of my life c: I will never forget this amazing two weeks, all I learned, and all of the friends I made from around the world. c':

It is so qt!!! I am adding to my collection of colored vinyl they are so cute!! I have purple and yellow Mac Demarco records, a banana yellow syd barrett, and now this one! Also I got that lil kewpie doll at an antique store recently.
AHHHHHH!!!!! I haven't blogged in so long! I have not done anything except synchro, eating, and sleeping as of late. I had to temporarily take down Rad Bones to :c It has been a little rough lately--- and today is the last day of synchro so I will be able to post more outfits!!!!
So, for now I am going to do a May/Spring vibes post compiling everything I am into/discovered when I was not bloggin FOR A WHOLE MONTH (I was miserable for most of it haha)

THIS MOVIE IS THE BEST THING EVER. I am reading the book now and it is even better- Hunter S. Thompson is literally the coolest person ever. My little brother is actually going through a Hunter S. Thompson phase so I bought him some yellow glasses and now he wears them w his acapolco shirts, and he read the book too c: Anyways I loved it.
We Need To Talk About Kevin
I recently watched this movie and omg it was amazing- even though the whole time I was seriously gritting my teeth bc it was chilling and very idk, it made me feel helpless I guess-- it is about a psychopath kid basically, and the ending made me cry like a lil baby. Also, I am kind of in love w Ezra Miller bc he is an amazing person and actor (and a cutie). Tilda Swinton was, as always, amazing as well. i really liked this movie because it was actually sympathetic to mothers of psychopaths-- which our society usually shuns and blames even when it isn't in their control.
I have also been kinda obsessed w Dane Dehaan- I mostly know him from The Place Beyond The Pines (I saw it in theaters and it is seriosuly amazing on everyone's part) but specifically just this shoot:
ughhh I just love the styling, colors, poses, and also he cute. (I have literally reblogged this on my tumblr at least 8 times). PS my tumblr is also martianteen and it is basically my mood board.

Toro y Moi
CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE IT. His music is amazing and I can't stop listening to Anything In Return. My favorite song is probably Rose Quartz, or High Living. Also, Toro y Moi is hecka cute too, legit just watch this music video he is literally the best- he just does his lil Napolean Dynamite dance and hugs trees and it will make your day.

Ughhhh they are so perfect, it is a fuzzy noise-rockesque sound with Clementine's fucking magical voice and lyrics that are so good and it alll just comes together and is magical. I am waiting for my Haxel Princess pink vinyl to come in the mail still I am getting so impatient! My favorite song is All My Friends, as of rn.

I have also been listening to a lot of FIDLAR. My favorite is probably Stoked and Broke bc idk I really like that one line "all my friends r pieces of shit" haha. But yeah, they are a p great band.
I might make a list of things (clothes) I am achin' to buy a little later today (I have a lot of free time, I am at an all day synchro meet) and some makeup inspiration I have been feelin. I also experimented w some resin casting and it turned out alright-- I will post some stuff when I get home! I am in a jewelry class again and I just cast a silver ring, and now I am making a spoon, and I threw (idk what verb to use?) a bowl on the wheel in ceramics that suprising turned out alright for a newbie like me!
